Project Scope

Toned is an online space that amplifies the stories of Black Canadians at the intersection of art, race and culture. As a team we determined for web design and web implementation.

After kickoff and group strategy conversations, we started to explore the design language. Internally, we went through a handful of rounds of feedback on color & type, and then with the layout of the homepage. We determined that Wordpress would be a suitable content management system that could address the scalability and transition concerns. The CMS provides a large degree of customization, as well as ease of use when considering the "hand off" of responsibilities.

We worked hand-in-hand, utilizing Adobe XD to create a prototype to visualize the homepage’s design. We utilized style guide I developed which included brand colors and typography to create a modern, print-themed style.
